My name is Georgia Arnold and I spent my exchange year in Switzerland. Switzerland is a tiny country that fits into Tasmania 3 times. It's surrounded by France, Italy, Austria as well as Germany and depending on where you go in Switzerland will depend on which language you will speak. I lived in north west Switzerland, near the city of Basel. Here they speek Swiss German which has many words similar to the german language but then many words that they change a little bit and they also add some french in there- confusing language!!

Attached are scans of the introduction and first five lessons of Finnish For Foreigners 1 (FFF1). I recommend that you purchase this text and the corresponding exercise book when you arrive (I bought mine from Suomalainen Kirjakauppa (lit. "Finnish Book Shop")).
